Equipment

The studio is based around a 36:16:2 channel vintage analogue Allen & Heath Saber Mixing Desk: both Coldplay & Goldfrapp have recorded on these consoles.

Monitoring is provided by Mackie HR624 active speakers and Beyer DT100 recording headphones.

We are running a bespoke dual 3 GHz studio computer with 4 GB RAM, a 250 GB programme drive and 500 GB system drive. Software includes Cubase 4, Sony Sound Forge 9.0, Vegas Pro 8.0, CD Architect and DVD Architect and Ableton Live 7.0. The recording interface is an M-Audio Proffire 26 Channel I/O.

Services

West Track Studios can also offer cost effective bulk duplication of CDR’s and DVD’s, including on-body printing and colour sleeves, plus HD video recording of live gigs, rehearsals and recording sessions. The rehearsal area can also be rigged up for video location shoot purposes.
